F-16C

Every panel the manager knows on the F-16C, in the order the Console Panels page lists them: what the panel is, then each switch, knob, lamp and gauge on it, what its positions do, and what it takes to wire. The Docs button on a panel in the manager opens that panel's section on this page.

Controls: 236. Panels: 54.

MANUAL TRIM

Trim wheels and position indicators for roll, pitch and yaw, and the switch that disconnects trim and the autopilot.

ROLL TRIM · Motorized potentiometer · 1 analog input
MANUAL ROLL TRIM WHEEL

Adjusts roll-axis trim. Rotate top edge LEFT to drop the left wing; right to drop the right wing. Spring-centered detent at 0 = no trim.

Range: -1.0 (full left-wing-down) to +1.0 (full right-wing-down), normalized.

Motor-driven: The wheel is a Bourns PRM162-K415K-503A2 motor pot. When the sim moves the trim arg (autopilot trim, electrical trim, mission start), the wheel auto-positions to match.

PITCH TRIM · Motorized potentiometer · 1 analog input
MANUAL PITCH TRIM WHEEL

Adjusts pitch-axis trim. Roll wheel forward to trim nose down; back for nose up. Spring-centered detent at 0.

Range: -1.0 (full nose-down) to +1.0 (full nose-up), normalized.

Motor-driven: Wheel auto-positions when the sim updates the trim arg via autopilot pitch hold or electrical trim from the side-stick.

YAW TRIM · Potentiometer with detent · 1 analog input
MANUAL YAW TRIM KNOB

Adjusts yaw-axis trim. Rotate clockwise (right) to trim nose right; counter-clockwise (left) for nose-left trim. Mechanical center detent at 0, marked at 3 o'clock.

Range: -1.0 (full left-yaw, pointer at 12 o'clock) to +1.0 (full right-yaw, pointer at 6 o'clock), normalized.

Hardware: Standard manual potentiometer (not motor-driven). Smaller travel than the pitch/roll wheels, since the F-16 needs less yaw trim authority. The pilot sets it once for trimmed flight; sim doesn't push values back to it.

ROLL TRIM IND · Needle gauge · display
ROLL TRIM POSITION INDICATOR

Switec X-27.168 stepper-driven needle on a half-moon dial showing current roll-axis trim. Needle hangs from the chord at the top of the gauge and sweeps the lower arc.

Range: -1.0 (needle full left = full left-wing-down) to +1.0 (needle full right = full right-wing-down). Center mark at the bottom of the arc = neutral trim.

Read-only: the indicator follows the trim arg even when trim is changed via electrical-trim or autopilot, not just the manual wheel.

PITCH TRIM IND · Needle gauge · display
PITCH TRIM POSITION INDICATOR
